We have a point system. As a class they can get points for doing things well OR for not "keeping their dear teacher happy!" At the end of the week if they have more happy face points then sad face points they all get bobcat bucks. All I have to do is start walking over to the point chart with a marker and they stop talking! If not then they get a point on the sad face side THEN they stop talking.
